What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file that is stored by your computer when a website is visited by a user. The text stores information that the site is able to read when it is consulted at a later time. Some of these cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the site, others are useful to the visitor because they can safely store, for example, the user name.

Cookie Policy

This information is provided, in accordance with the laws in force, to those who interact with Ticca Preziosi’s web services, accessible electronically from the web address:

Why we use cookies

We use cookies to make our website easier and more intuitive. The data collected through cookies are used to make the browsing experience more enjoyable and more efficient in the future. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some of the functions of cookies may be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term ‘cookies’ refers both to cookies themselves and to all similar technologies.

Type of Cookies

Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where “first-party” refers to cookies that report the site as a domain, while “third-party” refers to cookies that are related to external domains.

Third-partycookies are necessarily installed by an external party, always defined as "third party", not managed by the site. These subjects may also install first-party cookies, saving their own cookies on the site domain. Another type of cookie are so-called ‘Flash Cookies’ (Local Shared Objects), which are used within Adobe Flash Player to deliver certain content, such as video clips or animations, in order to remember your settings and preferences. Flash cookies are stored on the device, but are managed through a different interface than the one provided by the browser used.

Nature of Cookies

Regarding the nature of cookies, there are several types:

  • Technicalcookies: They are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide that service. They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into:
    • Navigation or sessioncookies: They guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas). They are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the site.
    • Cookie analytics: Assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the performance of the site.
    • Functionalitycookies: They allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service rendered to the same. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users.
  • Profilingcookies: They are intended to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the net. The data subject’s consent is required for the use of profiling cookies.

Cookies installed

These technologies allow our sites, services, apps and tools to store important information in your browser or device and then use it later to recognize you when you return to our services. Your personal data is not stored in cookies or other similar technologies used.

These cookies are essential for the correct use of the site. You can disable these cookies from your browser by following the instructions in the dedicated paragraph, but you will compromise your experience on the site and we will not be able to respond to malfunctions.
